Seattle has an ocean of artistic talent and energy to fish from and a music scene with deep roots. Heady culture is alive and well in Washington. The evergreens aren’t the only reason they call it the “Evergreen State”. Ents In Tents managed to throw an Event that was everything I love about Seattle. Combining art, music, dance/performance art, conscious culture, visuals, discussion, and a party is no small task. Luckily Theo Vaskevitch and his amazing Ents in Tents team have done this all before.
I ended up getting the opportunity to volunteer for this event which gave me an interesting perspective I might not have gotten otherwise. I got to know the people behind the production and found myself working on everything from painting to wiring in power. It was nice getting to know everyone before the event actually began and I couldn’t have gotten more photo opportunities. I also enjoyed lending as much of my energy as I could to such an amazing collective for the evening. Ents In Tents worked like a well oiled machine and made me feel welcome right away.
I learned you should always check the cords you’re using to wire in power. I set up the power for the artists to plug into inside the dome twice. Lesson learned.
Theo kicked off the event leading a guest panel consisting of (from left to right) Burgandy Viscosi, Android Jones, Alex Grey, Allyson Grey, and Hedflux. It gave an interesting insight into the connection between their art and nature.

Alex and Allyson Grey are two of the most amazing human beings on the planet. They gave an amazing talk on their story, marriage and relationship, COSM (Chapel of Sacred Mirrors), and their views on Spirituality. Pantheism is the idea that there are many paths to the devine. The many faced god symbolizes the many doors that lead to the same sacred place. They spoke about their experiences with psychedelics and their importance.Â
The Chapel of Sacred Mirrors (CoSM) is a transdenominational church dedicated to the shared vision of Alex and Allyson Grey to build a contemporary public Chapel as ‘a sanctuary for spiritual renewel through contemplation of transformative art’. CoSM’s stated mission statement is “Building an enduring sanctuary of visionary art to inspire every pilgrim’s creative path and embody the values of love and evolutionary wisdom”

Hedflux played an amazing set full of energy with visuals by Justin Totemical
Birds of Paradise was the perfect soundtrack to Andoid’s VJ skills.

Watching these two paint live side by side was amazing and inspiring to watch not only as an artist but as a human being. The couple that arts together stays together. Art as a form of worship. What could be more beautiful than that?
Ents in Tents had no shortage of local talent on hand doing some live painting in the dome. Andy Art, Michelle Andherst, Autumn Cymny Tranquilino, Adam One, Rose Drummond, Sofia Tveter, Moksha Marquardt, Sienna Dawn, Craig Cundiff, and Wiz Garber represented.

Sienna Dawn has a show coming up in April I’m trying to attend. I loved the sheep
Forest Olson and Sofia Tveter were such a great art couple
Sofia Tveter
Andy Art does some great work. I wish I had gotten a picture of this piece later in the evening.
Michelle Andherst Is one of my favorite artists right now. I was excited to see some of these pieces in person. She didn’t disappoint. Amazing stuff.
Rose Drummond and Michelle Andherst these girls were to animated to catch with a clear shot.

This collaboration piece with Craig Cundiff was epic. I really loved this piece
Adam One does intensely detailed work.
One of the most interesting acts of the night was Phaedroid. Dance performance artist Phaedra and Android Jones collaborating for a unique experience. Dancers Liv Lucid, Luxillusions, Luma Fire&Flow, Sunny Sutra, Domino DeLux and The Downtemple also mesmerized with their graceful beauty. One could have easily fallen in love with so much talent and energy in one room.
Luxillusions looking amazing in that feather headdress
Liv Lucid showing off her belly dancing skills. This girl was on point.

I caught Sunny Sultra preparing herself backstage.
One of the greatest things about volunteering was spending some time backstage. Mostly I was helping, but I can always take a second to catch a few pics.
The Cosmic Mirror event had an extreme lineup of talent, but they also had a perfect chill area where you could sample some teas and engage in a little conversation. Interactive virtual reality art, tasty treats, and a cornucopia of vendors selling heady treasures filled every nook and cranny of this Seattle Venue.
After everyone had left and the tear down process was in full swing, I was a little sad I was to broke to take home a pile of Art and Swag. Android Jones pulled a few of his limited pins to give Keith Anderson and the other guys in the Visuals booth but he still had one left in his hand. He had seen me helping out and taking pictures and kindly offered the last one to me. What a perfect cap to a truly EPIC experience
